Today, we are going to have a lesson on this really nice machine that helps us dispose of our food waste properly and safely for the planet! The mechanical here is high temperature aerobic fermenter which With a little help from some grown-ups, we can figure out how to use it properly and make our planet even more friendly here at Mingjia.
What is Food Waste?
Do you know the saying, "reduce, reuse, recycle"? It teaches us how we can save the planet. Occasionally, some of us simply have excess food that we either cannot consume or offer to others. So in those instances, we must be smart about how do away with it. That is exactly what we use, a high temperature aerobic fermenter or Aerobic digester compost!
This miracle gadget that liquefies all types of food waste including fruits, vegetables, grains and even meat and dairy items. Compost is a very useful thing that helps us recycle food waste like banana peels and stuffing material into the machine in this conversation. Superfood for plants: Compost They need it to help them grow nice and strong, just like we all do with our proper food. We are producing less waste sent to the garbage dumps where we know that there is a big problem. Rather than contributing to more trash in the ocean and on land, we are making something useful that also helps give back to Earth.
How Does It Work?
Now you may be wondering, "How this machine works? " Well- it goes through aerobic fermentation. This means that it has to contain air and tiny creatures including bacteria and fungi, which will help break down the food waste. Aerobic is a word which means it requires oxygen to work at full capacity and do its job efficiently.
If we stick our leftover food into the Fermentation equipment, it gets mixed with wood chips or sawdust. These help with the correct moisture and temperature inside to let those little things work easier. It keeps it warm, generally between 55 to 70 degrees Celsius (131 to 158 Fahrenheit). This heat aids in the breakdown of your food waste, thus giving us our compost quicker.
When the little organisms break down this food waste, they give off heat and produce CO2, and water. In a few days or weeks(may change for size and type of machine) the food waste will get composted. From there, this compost can be put to use in gardens and farms or even our backyards as fertiliser for plants.
More Benefits for the Earth
We also know that an aerobic fermenter with high temperature works well to convert food waste into compost. However, did you know it serves to benefit the environment in more ways that just sequestering carbon? That’s right! Food waste that goes into the landfills can also generate a ton of methane gas and it is bad for our climate. Methane - a potent greenhouse gas that fuels climate change. The last one is to make compost that does not produce a lot of methane, and we use this machine for it. In addition, compost works like a fertilizer because it helps plants grow more. And the big plus is that by growing faster, these same green roots "consume" most of CO2 to be able to feed! This is crucial in purifying the air that we breathe.
Saves money and helps plants
And just in case you are not yet quite convinced that this is a good idea — consider the following: In truth, it should work out to be a cost saver over time! And when lots of food waste is sent to landfills, it gets expensive having to drive all that garbage back out. If we ferment, though, once again, the amount of waste that gets trucked to a landfill is less than half and it will allow us to save some serious cash on trash services. This allows us to use that money as it was intended -to fund other worthy causes!
Its powerful 1 hp motor can grind down just about anything you throw at it. Meat, bones and dairy that other methods may not be able to handle This is actually useful, however because the fermentation temperature using Stainless steel fermenter can kill any harmful bacteria or germs that was contained within the food waste. This makes the compost less harmful when returned to gardens and plant beds.
Using the Machine Safely
So with that stomach settling information out of the way, let us ruminate on how to use this beast without killing ourselves. Remember, this is a large machine that uses should be careful. It's DEFINITELY not for kids to do this alone, only with adult support!!
If you are looking at a hot aerobic fermenter, the first thing to do is verify that there is one nearby. Most towns either have special composting programs of these machines, or there are private companies that provide the service. Again, if you do not have a location near by that offers this service… Have your school or community center start one up using high temperature aerobic fermenters!
Then, as soon as you are good to go and can actually operate the machine - be sure that there are a couple things in place for safety. Before hitting start button, be certain that the food waste inside machine is dirt-free and has not any plastic, metal or glass pieces which can harm to the system. Even then very careful blending of food waste with other materials such as wood chips or sawdust is required. The right level of temp is very important.
